Two years after the historical UN Biodiversity COP15 that led to the creation of the Kumming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), COP16 will be taking place in Cali, Colombia between October 21 and November 1 of 2024.
@StephODonnell, @TaliaSpeaker, and @Adrien_Pajot from the WILDLABS team are attending from the 22-31 of October. If you'll be there, we'd love to see you!
Our Innovation Expo Booth
From October 24-26, we'll have a booth in the Blue Zone at the Innovation Expo. This is a great opportunity to meet us in person, but more importantly, a great chance to highlight the technology and challenges our sector is addressing. Our team is involved in organising a range of events around conservation tech in the Blue Zone, including:
October 24 - 26: WILDLABS booth at the Innovation Expo
October 24 at 11:40am: Charting the Future of Conservation Tech for Biodiversity Monitoring at Plaza One, co-organized by Smithsonian Institution, WWF, Wildlife Conservation Society, Wildlife Protection Solutions, CBD, and others.
Oct 25 at 4pm: Innovative Technologies and AI for Nature Conservation panel at the MDB Pavilion, co-organized by the The World Bank Global Wildlife Programme & WILDLABS.
Oct 28 at 10:00am: Scaling Biodiversity Monitoring through AI event at the GEO/AI2 Pavilion, co-organized by Ai2, WILDLABS, the Smithsonian Institution, IUCN, the Humboldt Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and The Ohio State University.
Oct 29 at 10am and Oct 30 at 4:45pm: Harnessing Animal Movement to Meet Biodiversity Goals sessions at the GEO/AI2 Pavilion, co-organized by Smithsonian Institution and the Global Initiative on Ungulate Migration.
