What is your favourite social media these days?

Hey everyone,

I would like to understand more about the wildlife community consensus (if there is such?) on social medias.

With recent BlueSky rise and X platform owner's instability, I am trying to understand where do you prefer to spend your time reading news, finding new content, and generally having fun?

Let's keep it within the nature & wildlife context, and not mention platforms used exclusively for private/family purposes (like Facebook for me).

Cheers!

Hey,

Good question. I have not yet made the move to BlueSky while I have abandoned X. The only social media I use is LinkedIn at the moment.

WILDLABS speaking, we still share news on LK, X, Insta and have recently added BlueSky. I let @alexrood, our comms manager, saying what she finds best!

Best,

Echoing Adrien, WILDLABS uses LinkedIn, X, and Bluesky to share/learn about news in conservation. (We are currently working on appealing our account suspension from Bluesky, likely due to migrating loads of old followers onto the new platform!)

LinkedIn is the new Twitter for sure, but I'd be delighted if Bluesky picks up.

The engagement drop on Twitter is incredibly noticable within the cons tech community.
