Cool news from the mothbox team! We still don’t have any funding, but our next big goal is to create an integrated PCB that can be mass-manufactured so that more people can get and use Mothboxes way easier.
Seeedstudio in Shenzhen, China, offered to help us out by having a kind of GOSH residency for the mothbox to work with their engineers to get this thing prototyped!
So @hikinghack (Andy) will be going to Shenzhen May 8-21 with the goal of manufacturing some working prototypes. Andy aims to bring some to the Open Hardware Summit (May 30-31, Edinburgh, Scotland) to show while we give our talk. Then make some more to bring to Indonesia for Dinacon!
Right now, @moritz_lablab is working on making this thing in Kicad! And @briannajohns is out in western Panamá with @Hubertszcz doing some field training and research.
While Andy and @WellReadPanda are off to Peru (just to celebrate their birthday).
Wish us luck on this fast paced development!
