I'm excited to announce that Outreach Robotics has finalized the development of our new insect camera traps, now officially named EntoCam!
Some key features:
- The camera has a power output to support an external UV LED, such as a LepiLED, and will run only when the timelapse activates.
- You can program 2 different timelapse periods (and they can overlap overnight)
- IP66 Waterproof rating, in a compact sealed casing
- Minimal power consumption by the camera (photo trigger in less than 0.5 sec)
- Integrated White Flash with a blur to have sharp images without glare
- SONY Starvis Sensor, delivering 64 MP photos
- PVC Coated Polyester UV-resistant waterproof light-grey screen with textured surface to allow insects to grip easily
- Multiple mounting points for tripods or strap-mounted on tree trunks
- Easy to use with a short menu and an integrated screen
- Affordable, so you can scale up your experiment design!
I'm sharing the webpage where you can find a complete overview of the system, along with the datasheet and sample photos taken with the camera, so you can assess the quality of the images captured.
