Support no-code custom AI for camera trap images by filling out this survey

Do you use camera traps? If so, we'd love if you could take five minutes to fill out this survey: tinyurl.com/zambasurvey

With our WILDLABS award, DrivenData is adding new functionality for processing images and training custom image models in no-code environment (Zamba Cloud). Our goal is to make conservation data more useful, and to save conservationists from spending hours manually reviewing camera trap videos and images.

We're hoping to learn two key things from this survey:

  1. Common species and habitats across camera trap users

We’ll be releasing some pre-trained species classification models for images on Zamba Cloud. We want these to capture common species and geographies so they’re as useful “out of the box” as they can be.

  2. Identify beta testers for no-code custom image model training

We’re looking for people with labeled image data who can beta test the new custom model training functionality for images. Be one of the first to access and help us improve the experience for everyone by spotting bugs and providing feedback on your experience.

Bonus:

  • If you have labeled camera trap data you'd like to share with us so we can make the pretrained models even better, please get in touch! You can comment here or send an email to zamba@drivendata.org.

  • Keep an eye out for image functionality on Zamba Cloud in early 2025.
