About the Regional Sessions
The East Africa Community is the very first WILDLABS regional hub. We launched it to bring conservation technology players across the biodiverse region together. From the very start, our vision for this community has been to congregate members in an open space to spark engagement, collaboration and, most importantly, conversation on the state of conservation technology across the region.
The East Africa Community Connect is a regular session that will foster this dialogue, inspiring a sense of community and knowledge exchange, and our hope is it will lead to new-found partnerships and innovative solutions that can help towards addressing the conservation challenges unique to our region. The sessions will begin virtually and we anticipate that they will slowly evolve into physical meet-ups.
If you work in conservation and are interested in how tech can bolster your efforts, or perhaps you are a techie looking to protect wildlife across East Africa and are interested in exploring how you can get involved and keep up with what’s new in this emerging space, don’t miss our regular East Africa Community Connect events! These sessions serve as a warm and welcoming space to share your experiences, insights and ideas and be part of something meaningful. The sessions will act as a gateway for you to:
- Connect with like-minded individuals and experts in the field of conservation technology across your region.
- Explore the latest innovations, resources and news in conservation tech happening in your area.
- Engage with interactive presentations and insightful community discussions furthering the discourse on conservation tech in East Africa.
