Airbus Foundation: Harnessing Aerospace Capabilities for Nature-Based Climate Resilience. EUR 10,000 + extras

The Airbus Foundation, in partnership with the Solar Impulse Foundation and Space4Good, has launched a Call for Projects to support initiatives using aerospace technology to enhance nature-based climate resilience. This programme aims to assist projects that protect biodiversity, restore ecosystems, and mitigate disaster risks through innovative use of aerospace capabilities.

What Selected Projects Will Receive:
  • Aerospace Capabilities: Access to Airbus satellite imagery and helicopter flight hours.
  • Financial Support: €10,000 per project.
  • Expert Guidance: Technical support in remote sensing, GIS, and AI.
  • Visibility & Networking: Promotion through global networks.
  • Fast-track Opportunity: Eligibility to apply for the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label.
 
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Must be a registered non-profit organisation.
  • Willing to share project results on an open-access basis.
  • Ability to integrate Airbus-provided capabilities into project execution.
  • Possess technical expertise in GIS and related activities.
 
How to Apply:

Two informational sessions will be held on 17 April 2025, at 9:00 AM CEST and 6:00 PM CEST. These sessions will provide an overview of the call, share insights from past projects, and include a Q&A session. Interested participants can register here.
