Whitley Awards opened its annual call (£50k)

The Whitley Fund for Nature opened its annual call for proposals from mid-career grassroots conservationists, located in and nationals of a country in the global South.

Deadline: 31 October 2024 - the deadline has passed.
Not high income economy countries ( according to World Bank ), but including Equatorial Guinea and selected Caribbean island nations

Groups

Projects should involve grassroots level communities and deliver science based practical conservation action. Applicants should be working for or leading 'locally incorporated NGOs'.

The grant is to be spent over a one year period.
