The miro Nomad comprises all elements of the larger trackers and weights only four grams.
It was developed in cooperation with partners BTO and the University of East Anglia to track birds of various kinds and sizes. It includes a high-quality u-blox GPS receiver, an acceleration sensor, a gyroscope, and air pressure and temperature sensor.
The tracker is powered by two miniature solar panels and an energy harvester which performs well across all levels of lighting conditions. During the night and periods of poor weather, a backup battery ensures an uninterrupted supply.
Miromico trackers are compatible with all network providers. They can store up to 100.000 locations which are transmitted when the vicinity of the network is detected. The devices are configured using our development kit or by LoRaWAN down-links. The latter allows the GPS positioning interval and other settings to be changed after deploying the devices in the field.
