PeskAAS is an advanced data collection system revolutionizing small-scale fisheries in Timor-Leste. This open-source web portal offers real-time insights into fishing activities, enabling fisheries officers, researchers, and local stakeholders to understand the impact of fishing on livelihoods and food security. Developed in partnership with the Timor-Leste Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Peskas combines catch data and vessel tracking to reveal fishing trends. With its low-cost and open-access approach, Peskas empowers sustainable fisheries management, ensuring the preservation of Timor-Leste's diverse marine resources.
