This R&D project aims to develop a digital twin of The Wilds for long-term conservation and ecological monitoring, starting with a 2025 proof-of-concept deployment. Using a multimodal sensor network, we are collecting data on species behavior, movement, and environmental conditions. The project will assess sensor effectiveness and test autonomous monitoring systems with edge AI and sensor fusion. Long-term, it will support machine learning development for scalable wildlife monitoring and inform conservation strategies through a dynamic digital ecosystem.
