The call has two priorities and will finance one project for each.

One priority is about 'Landscape-scale restoration as an economic and multifunctional nature-based solution for peace', which may have a bearing on WildLabs topics.

For completeness sake, the other priority is 'Roll-out of renewable energies and economic diversification for a just coal phase-out'.

Eligible applicants are consortia of at least one 'lead organization' which can be a German or international organization, and at least one implementing organization, which can be an NGO, university or research insitute, an internation intergovernmental organization, a UN organization or program, or a private company.

Personal remarks :

• Admittedly, for WildLabs users and their organizations, this opportunity may be a bit far fetched. However, this is a huge grant, and perhaps worth some creative thinking and networking.
• This is very much a high risk - high reward competition
• The paperwork of applying is likely to be huge, but the first part of the competition consists of a project outline rather than a full application.
