Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation call for proposals

Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation opened its 2024 call for project proposals. The call mentions no maximum limit nor a deadline for applications.

Arctic, antarctic, the Mediterranean, and UN list of least developed countries

This call allows proposals addressing the Foundation's Polar Initiative ( several listed activities ) both on the arctic and antarctic) , but also the topics of climate change, biodiversity and water, which are not further specified. On the latter three topics, the call prioritises the Mediterranean, the polar zones and the least developed countries according to UN classifications.

Interestingly, the call does not specify who are eligible parties. The pre-application form allows for associations, companies, public organizations, individuals and 'other'. The call also does not restrict geographical origin of the applicant.

Equally interesting, the call specifies no maximum amount of the application, but does require 50% co-funding.

Projects should start in 2026 (!)

Personal remarks:

  • The call mentions no deadline, so if you apply, better apply sooner than later.
  • It seems like the sky is the limit for this call, but obviously, it is not. The question is, what is a reasonable size for an application? I could not find any indication. The projects database shares no financial details, but those in the know may get an idea based on the descriptions.

All information in this post is provided as is. Requirements and conditions apply. Read the call and guidelines carefully.
