CLP calls for teams of early career conservationists, to propose projects addressing at risk species (≤$15K)

The Conservation Leadership Program's Future Conservation Awards calls for proposals from teams of early-career conservationists and targeting at-risk species from the IUCN Red List.

Deadline: 18 October 2024 - the deadline has passed.
low- and middle-income countries in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, Latin America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, South-Eastern Europe, and the Middle East; and high-income countries from the Caribbean and Pacific Islands

Proposals should aim for new work, rather than continuation of existing projects. 'At-risk species' is explained as "such as those listed as Data Deficient, Vulnerable, Endangered or Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List"

The teams should consist of at least three individuals who are nationals of the country where the project takes place. No minimum education required.

Early career is defined as having not more than 5 years of work experience, not counting university degree research.

Also, CLP "strongly encourage[s] applicants from historically marginalised groups and countries to apply, and for equality and diversity to be considered when selecting team members" (Guidlines document)

Projects should last between 3 months and a year.

Personal remark: This seems an excellent opportunity if not rare opportunity for previously not organized people and people without organizational affiliation.
