AddaxAI is an application designed to streamline the work of ecologists dealing with camera trap images. It’s an AI platform that allows you to analyse images on your local computer and use machine learning models for automatic detection, offering ecologists a way to save time and focus on conservation efforts. It has the open-source MegaDetector model incorporated, which can filter out images containing animals, people, and vehicles. However, the MegaDetector model does not identify animals to the species level, it just finds them. AddaxAI therefore supports the deployment of custom project spec

Read moreEcoAssist is the easiest way to get started using AI to classify camera trap photos and videos. I takes away all the hassle of setting up the right environments to run different AI models such as MegaDetector and species classifiers. It also makes these model more usable by providing a simple user interface and process which anyone can use.
It will even run the AI models in the most optimized way for your platform. It is resource intensive, but that's the AI models. They do run better if you have some form of acceleration (GPU, Apple silicon, etc.).
There are a limited number of species classification models integrated so far. If one of them supports your species, I highly recommend using EcoAssist. Even if if your species are not currently supported, you can use EcoAssist to easily run MegaDetecotr to at least sort your content into animal, human, vehicle and blanks.
