The third Black Mammalogists Week will start on September 15th and end on September 21st. The purpose of this week is to connect people who are interested in mammals, particularly those of the Black Diaspora, showcase research, foster discussions, and also provide outreach to the public.

We'll have a series of events, including a mammal track ID workshop run by Hunters of Color, a mammal drawing class with an award-winning artist, an African wildlife filmmakers panel, and some speed talks done by ASM's Black and Indigenous Scholar Awards scholarship winners. There will also be giveaways every day, including two sets of Freaklabs Boomboxes.

Events which might be of interest to the WildLabs.Net community are: an event showcasing new conservation technology happening on September 16th at 3pm PST (UTC -7) and two workshops run by Wildlife Acoustics (September 19th at 11am PST [UTC -7]) and PANGEA (September 20th at 12pm PST [UTC -7]).
