This list is regularly ( but not often ;-) updated list of crowdfunding sites that focus on nature conservation, climate and/or environment.
Please note:
- The platforms have different access levels for people seeking grants or investments. Some are open for everybody, some require a recommendation, and for some it is completely unclear how one gets registered. (They find you, but that does not mean you can not help them find you.)
- Some include a vetting process. Others do not.
- For more background, see the crowdfunding section of the article on funding options for nature conservation
- There are plenty of other crowdfunding platforms out there that do particularly focus on nature conservation but are open to the topic. For scientific projects, see experiment.
- If you know of a crowdfunding platform or market place that should be listed here, then please leave a comment or send me a message.
- See also the list of funding and finance databases.
