I recently had the incredible opportunity to attend the African Bioacoustic Community Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, where I presented my PhD research on using acoustic monitoring to track land degradation and restoration in the Maasai Mara, Kenya. 🌱📡
I also had the privilege of participating in a student and expert panel, where we discussed the challenges and opportunities in the bioacoustics field. The conversations were rich with insights on overcoming technical barriers and leveraging innovation to drive impact.
One of the highlights was attending an insightful workshop by @wildlifeacoustics —a deep dive into the latest tools and techniques for acoustic research. It was a fantastic learning experience!
To cap it all off, Friday night's banquet was a wonderful opportunity to interact with fellow researchers and experts, exchange ideas, and just have fun! 🎉🍽️
I leave the conference more inspired and motivated than ever to continue my journey. 🚀🔍
