Seeking a conservation technology specialist to install, monitor, and manage data from a small sample of conservation tech devices including camera traps, acoustic monitoring recorders, and sensors. We warmly welcome experience with AI tools, remote sensing, eDNA, and/or other emerging conservation tech, but this is not required.
Based out of American University in Washington, DC, our team is embarking on a creative research project about conservation technology at Airlie, the site where Earth Day was founded, in Warrenton, VA. Our initial project timeline is January 25–February 25, 2023 but may extend further in consultation with the specialist. We anticipate a time commitment of no more than 10 hours per week. Salary range $20-25/hr DOE.
