Hi Catherine, they are one of our in house products. 

We sell a one speaker box and a two speaker box version.

The website pictures are a bit out of date. The one I shared above is what the most recent version looks like. I helped develop these so happy to answer any questions. 

They are programmable and can play at different intervals. Their primary intended use is for bird management using a a combination of preloaded distress cries and predator calls. We have had customers use them in other applications though. For example deterring or attracting mountain lions. They come with removable micro SD cards so users can load any sounds they like.

Thanks so much! What a great system. Do you know what the frequency range is for the speakers? And how tricky are they to put together? We use Scoutguard cameras - have you connected to these before? All details greatly appreciated :). Thanks!

Hi Catherine. 

We haven't connected to a Scoutguard camera before. Generally if it's a new camera, we request a sample to be sent to us so we can verify and document the connection procedure. We then ship it back in it's modified form so Boombox can plug directly into it. 

In regards to the frequency range of the speakers, they are 2kHz to 20 kHz speakers. Here is the datasheet for them:

One more thing. Regarding ultrasonic frequencies, we haven't tested them, but the sounds are based on MP3s so they are limited to the MP3 frequency range (~18 kHz). However it'd be great to discuss the application regarding ultrasonic. We may be able to put together a design for ultrasonic playback as well. 

Thanks Akiba. We're interested in investigating sounds that attract predators at close ranges. Mainly from acoustic up to around 100kHz. Perhaps if you sent me your email I can discuss further?
