Hi - I'm new to the acoustic world and thought it wouldn't be too hard to find a playback device that I could use in the field to play both acoustic and ultrasonic frequencies at high quality. However, it seems that for good quality sound, the devices are really expensive and not great for leaving in the field overnight (eg Avisoft). Can anyone suggest other playback devices? I'm interested in nest predation and how sounds might increase nest vulnerability to a range of mammalian predators. Thanks so much!

Our squawk boxes are outdoor rated and use high quality speakers capable of 2kHz - 20kHz.

Hi. We make a device called Boombox which is for Automated Behavioral Response experiments. They're normally connected to a camera trap but recently we've noticed more of our customers running them headless (without a camera trap) as playback devices. Let us know if there are any special requirements you need and feel free to contact us.
