Hi everyone! I have just joined Wildlabs and I am deeply passionate about bioacoustics and biodiversity conservation. I have been following various impactful work in the field with great interest and admiration. The innovative use of bioacoustic monitoring to understand and protect wildlife is inspiring, and I am eager to contribute to such meaningful work.
I am writing to inquire about the possibility of joining a team as a volunteer for an on-field mission. My goal is to gain hands-on experience in the in-action processes of bioacoustic research. am particularly interested in understanding the practical aspects of deploying and managing bioacoustic monitoring equipment, as well as analyzing the collected data to make informed conservation decisions.
I am available to commit my time and energy over the coming months and am flexible regarding the duration and location of the volunteer mission. I believe that working alongside an experienced team would be an invaluable opportunity for me to learn and contribute to the cause of biodiversity conservation.
Could you please let me know if there are any upcoming projects or fieldwork opportunities where I could assist? I am more than willing to discuss how my skills and enthusiasm could best serve a team.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Kind regards,
César

Hi César,
Is there a geographic area you're limited to? That would help to narrow down options.
I would recommend reaching out perhaps to the Kitzes Lab, Sound Forest Lab, or Cornell Yang Center?
