Apply for Free Access to Nature FIRST Conference (innovative solutions for biodiversity monitoring and human-wildlife coexistence)

The European project Nature FIRST is hosting its final conference at Ouwehands Dierenpark in the Netherlands on 25–26 June 2025, and we’re looking to expand our community!

  • We’ve reserved a limited number of free tickets for organisations whose mission aligns with the themes of the conference. To apply, simply provide your organisation’s name and a link to your website via our [free admission registration form]. Our team will review your submission and confirm your eligibility.*

Nature FIRST was developed to design and test innovative solutions for monitoring biodiversity and preventing human-wildlife conflict and wildlife crime, through a strong network of partners and stakeholders. Our conference theme, “Innovation and Collaboration in Conservation,” marks the conclusion of this project but more importantly, it serves as a platform to strengthen existing ties and build new partnerships.

By combining ecological science, forensic techniques, and environmental monitoring (both satellite-based and on-site), we have developed tools and approaches that support real-world conservation challenges. At the conference, you’ll see these innovations in action, meet the teams who tested them, and connect with brilliant organisations driving conservation forward. We’re proud to be joined by partners from Biodiversity Meets Data (led by Naturalis), TETTRIs.eu (CETAF-led), and TransWILD (Biodiversa+), among others.

This event will be all about interactive learning, collaboration, and action (rather than boring presentations).

At the Nature FIRST Conference, you will:
✔ Gain new insights into data collection methodologies and tools
✔ Network with pioneers of conservation innovation
✔ Experience hands-on workshops and tool demonstrations
✔ Engage in meaningful discussions on urgent conservation topics

*Please note: This is an in-person event in the Netherlands. We are unfortunately NOT able to cover accommodation, travel, or visa costs.

See you there? :)
