PAMGuard is a bioacoustics analysis program designed for use in real time research contexts and for the processing of large datasets. It provides users access to a suite of state-of-the-art automated analysis algorithms alongside displays for visualisation data and a comprehensive data management systems.

PAMGuard is open source and always free - it has a highly flexible modular structure allowing users to construct their own acoustic workflow without the need for code: it's primarily used in the marine environment from real time of detection of whales on seismic vessels to tracking porpoises around tidal turbines or processing large datasets from acoustic recorders.
