WildWing is an open-source unmanned aerial system (UAS) designed to autonomously collect high-quality behavioral video data of group-living animals, addressing challenges in manual drone piloting. It uses custom software to track animal groups, maintaining optimal camera angles and distances for behavior analysis, while capturing 4K resolution video at 30 fps. Field-tested at The Wilds Conservation Center in Ohio and Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, WildWing ensures consistent data collection for automated behavior recognition and scalable wildlife monitoring.
