Roe deer protection needed in Hungary, national government should stop funding hunting organizations - call for international support

According to Bern Convention, The European Roe deer - Capreolus capreolus, is protected fauna species Annex III, however in Hungary is legal to hunt.

Environment protectors need to stand up and raise this issue for the national agricultural Ministerium, which is sponsoring all hunting activities all over Hungary.

Hi Szilvia,
annex III allows legal hunting of European roe deer.
Roe deer are the most abundand ungulate species in Europe.
In Germany alone 1.3 million roe deer are hunted every year with increasing
population numbers. The same is true for Hungary. Can you exlain the problem?
